Phase 1:
Lowest Risk: Performing skill-building drills or conditioning at home, alone or
with family members.
Phase 1 Protocols:
- Players work within their immediate family or shelter in place community.
- Virtual workouts. Coaches must get approval from the organization to move out of this phase!
Phase 2:
Increasing Risk: Team-based practice.
Phase 2 Protocols: 15 Players ONLY may attend at once RSVP
- Social distancing Maintained
- No High Fives, fist bumps, etc.
- Coaches wear FACE COVERINGS
- Players have individual equipment
- Towel
- Basketball
- Water Bottle
- Face coverings
- Players and coaches undergo screening before attending practice.
- Includes temperature check
- Complete online or paper screening tool
- All practices are conducted at outdoor facilities and courts.
- All participants and coaches wash and sanitize hands at regular intervals
- No more than 15 participants.
- Parents MUST stay in their vehicles if your watching practice. At no point is the
- player allowed to return to the vehicle for any belongings after check-in.
Phase 3:
More Risk: Within-team competition.
Phase 3 Protocols: (20 Players) 20 Players ONLY may attend at once RSVP
- Coaches wear masks
- Moderate Social Distancing Maintained
- No High Fives, fist bumps, etc.
- When outside of contact drills Social Distancing continues
- All participants and coaches wash and sanitize hands at regular intervals
- Players have individual equipment
- Towel
- Water Bottle
- Face coverings
- Basketball
- Players and coaches undergo screening before attending practice.
- Includes temperature check
- Complete online or paper screening tool
- Contact Drills and competition
- Players will be assigned contact groups and those groups will be
- maintained so as to limit exposure.
- Continue use of outdoor facilities
- Parents MUST stay in their vehicles if your watching practice. At no point is the
- player allowed to return to the vehicle for any belongings after check-in.
Phase 4:
Even More Risk: Full competition between teams from the same local geographic
area.
Phase 4 Protocols: (25 Players ONLY must RSVP)
- Coaches wear Face coverings
- Players have individual equipment
- Towel
- Water Bottle
- Basketball
- All participants and coaches wash and sanitize hands at regular intervals
- Players, coaches and event attendees undergo screening before attending practice
- or games.
- Includes temperature check
- Complete online or paper screening tool
- Continued use of Outdoor facilities
- Competition among teams from Chittenden and surrounding counties.
Phase 5: ( 25+ Players)
Higher Risk: Full competition between teams from different geographic areas
held in Vermont.
Phase 5 Protocols:
- Coaches wear Face Coverings
- Players have individual equipment
- Towel
- Water Bottle
- Players, coaches and event attendees undergo screening before attending practice
- or games.
- Includes temperature check
- Complete online or paper screening tool
- All participants and coaches wash and sanitize hands at regular intervals
- Continued use of Outdoor facilities
- Competition among teams from areas deemed not to be �???????????�??????????�?????????�????????�???????�??????�?????�????�???�??�?�¢??hot spots�???????????�??????????�?????????�????????�???????�??????�?????�????�???�??�?�¢?? per the
- Vermont Department of Health.
- Competition to be held in Vermont.
- Some resumption of indoor play
- Strict capacity guidelines
Phase 6:
Highest Risk: Full competition between teams from different geographic areas,
incorporating travel outside of Vermont.
Phase 6 Protocols
- Coaches wear Face coverings
- Players have individual equipment
- Towel
- Water Bottle
- All participants and coaches wash and sanitize hands at regular intervals
- Players, coaches and event attendees undergo screening before attending practice or games.
- Includes temperature check
- Complete online or paper screening tool
- Full resumption of indoor play
- Travel outside of Vermont
- With continued guidance of Vermont Department of health
Club Responsibilities
- Distribute and post Return to Play protocols
- Be sensitive and accommodating to parents that may be uncomfortable with returning to play
- Train and educate all on Return to Play protocols
- Provide adequate court space for social distancing, as outlined in return to play protocols and as
- applicable to the various phases
- As a club our highest priority is to keep all families and players safe
- We will follow the direction of our Governor, VT health Department and CDC
- We will enter each phase with caution and heavy review of the data
- The organization has a right to cancel any phases base on safety
Coach Responsibilities
- Follow all Return to Play protocols
- Send athletes home if they are not feeling well
- Ensure all athletes have their own individual equipment (ball, water, pinnie, etc.)
- Ensure activities provide adequate social distancing, as applicable
- Respect players, parents and families by accommodating those that may not yet be comfortable
- returning
COACHES MUST GET APPROVAL TO ENTER EACH PHASE!
- Parent Responsibilities
- If you are not comfortable having your child return to play, DONT
- Check childs temperature and utilize VT Elite Symptom Screener tool prior to attending any
- activities
- Ensure childs clothing is washed after every activity
- Ensure all equipment is sanitized prior to any activity
- Notify Club/coach if your child becomes ill for any reasons
- Supply your child with individual sanitizer
- Adhere to all social distancing expectations
- Ensure your child has plenty of water
- We will need signed waivers from all players if they are participating in any VT ELITE Function
Player Responsibilities
- If you are not comfortable with returning to play, DONT
- Adhere to all Return to Play protocols
- Wash hands thoroughly before, during and after all activities
- Ensure all equipment ( ball, pinnie or uniform) is sanitized prior to any activity
- Do not share water, food, or equipment
- Respect and practice social distancing, as required in these guidelines
- Place equipment, bags, etc. at least 6 feet apart
- No high 5s, handshakes, knuckles, or group celebrations
